RiserClad® Splash Zone Protection
RiserClad®, the name-sake of our company, is a field applied, rigid composite,
corrosion barrier for the splash zone. It is composed of a rigid, fiberglass reinforced
shell with our proprietary epoxy RiserBond®. RiserClad® provides tough, long-lasting
corrosion protection for risers, conductors, flow lines and associated piping for harsh
duty applications (such as the splashzone).

- Fiberglass, reinforced half-shells with radius to conform to pipe,
- Underwater curing, RiserBond® epoxy adhesive,
- Compression clamps(1 per foot).

- Pipe substrate must be prepared,
- RiserBond® mixed and applied to interior of half-shells,
- Half-shells placed around pipe to be protected,
- Compression clamps squeeze half-shells together,
- Air and water displaced, leaving RiserBond® corrosion barrier,
- Half-shells protect RiserBond® barrier.

Physical Characteristics: |
- High temp applications (up to 100° C with special formulation),
- Outstanding adhesion (over 2,000 psi on ASTM D4541) to carbon steel pipe and superior adhesion to most other coatings,
- Excellent resistance to lap shear (over 1,000 psi using a carver press),
- Tough, durable, impact resistant,
- Not subject to degradation by UV light,
- Excellent resistance to most chemicals and acids.
